The next in our series of #MeetTheResolutionTeam is Mohammed Raafi who is an IT Support Consultant.
What does an IT Support Consultant do at Resolution IT?
Any of our clients who call in to us with an IT problem will speak to me as their first point of contact. It's my job to resolve their issue as quickly and efficiently as possible. It could be anything from a simple query with Office 365, to emails, desktops, laptops, printers and just about anything else you can think of! I think that's why the job is so interesting – you never know what the next call will bring.
What’s your background?
Well I completed a Master of Science in Information Technology and since then, have gained six varied years in IT. In that time, I've continued with my professional qualifications and am a Microsoft Certified System Expert (MCSE) and will be moving on to an Office 365 industry-recognised qualification later this year.
Why Resolution IT?
Definitely the culture of continuing to study whilst you work. I think it's very important our clients get the most up-to-date industry advice, delivered by professionals with the latest qualifications and Resolution IT offers just that.
In past businesses I have worked for, we have not been encouraged to discuss or take any independent decisions when an issue comes up. With Resolution IT, you are empowered and encouraged to take responsibility and I believe this is what sets us apart from the competition. Any employee, irrespective of his or her position, can come up with an idea which they are free to discuss with the client.
What do you like about working at Resolution IT?
See the point above! Creative freedom for sure. I love to brainstorm and think out of the box for sure. My job can be very challenging at times but it also pushes me which I enjoy enormously. We're a growing IT managed services provider, work incredibly well together as a team and I can see us as one of the top Dubai IT companies in the very near future.
When you have any spare time, what do you get up to?
I play cricket and board games such as Carrom. I also love to cook. I'm originally from Hyderabad which is famous for its biryani and that's my favourite dish to cook.
