The Platinum Managed IT Support is a perfect, holistic IT solution for this dynamic client.
Blue Islands are the Channel Islands’ leading local airline, operating key services from both Guernsey and Jersey to the UK mainland.
Due to significant growth in business and staff numbers in recent years and a move to new premises, Blue Islands required a fresh look at their IT infrastructure which would enable them to accommodate and future-proof the growing business. Blue Islands employs staff in both Guernsey and Jersey and collaboration between all staff is essential to the efficient operation of the airline.
- Office 365
- Increased efficiency
- Flexibility for roaming staff
- Reduced ongoing costs
A full audit of this pan-island business identified the need for infrastructure which would flex with the business. Blue Islands had already identified the need for web-based email and document management solutions and had selected Office 365 and Microsoft SharePoint for these purposes.
Our audit identified the need to replace end-of-life personal computers and to install an Active Directory Server / Domain Controller in each island. These servers together with the configuration of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) link the two main offices of Blue Islands together to provide a collaborative IT solution with an overall increase in IT security.
24/7 monitoring software and Managed Anti-virus was installed on all PCs and servers allowing Resolution IT to support the hardware proactively as part of its fixed-fee ‘Platinum Managed IT Support’ contract.
“The dynamic nature of our industry means that it is essential for us to have in place robust IT solutions backed by reliable support. We took the opportunity that was provided by Resolution IT’s Platinum Support package. This gives us a bespoke arrangement that works for our business. With Resolution IT, our IT hardware support partners are just a phone-call away and the entire team knows that they can rely on them."
